Susan Ramsey will serve as Regional Director for North Central Florida
JASPER, FL – Today, the Hamilton County Development Authority (HCDA) announced the appointment of its Executive Director, Susan Ramsey, to the Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC) Board of Directors. Susan is serving as the North Central Florida Regional Director.
“It is an honor to serve on the FEDC Board of Directors,” said Susan Ramsey, HCDA Executive Director. “Economic development transcends county and regional lines and by serving on the FEDC Board I am able to advocate for policies and initiatives that benefit all of Florida and its residents.”
Since 1964, the FEDC has promoted economic development throughout the state of Florida. Today, FEDC is Florida’s primary resource for economic development related policy development, education and thought leadership. More than 500 professionals count on FEDC to educate, advocate and connect on their behalf.
Susan brings a deep understanding of economic development in rural Florida to the board. As Executive Director of HCDA, she is responsible for leading and implementing economic development efforts for the county. Susan has led HCDA for nearly 10 years and during that time has focused on business recruitment, retention as well as community development through such programs as HCDA’s Commercial Beautification grants. The program along with numerous other initiatives, Susan and the HCDA Board have launched, focuses on improving Hamilton County’s competitiveness and quality of place. Throughout her career, Susan has had the opportunity to give back to the community by being involoved in a number of organizations and programs.
