Today, the Hamilton County Development Authority (HCDA) announced that Swift Straw of Atlanta, Georgia will open its first Florida location in Jasper. Swift Straw, an agriculture-based business, will occupy the former ESP window factory warehouse providing needed redevelopment to the location. The company, which was launched in 2011, has already hired nine full-time positions, nearly 15 positions in the process of being hired and more to come in the months ahead as production gets fully underway.

“Hamilton County is known for its agricultural heritage and Swift Straw is a welcome addition to our community,” said Susan Ramsey, Executive Director of the HCDA. “We are excited that they are reimagining the window factory and are bringing needed targeted industry jobs to the area.”

Through the company’s capital investment in its new location, Swift Straw is further supporting the local economy by contracting with all Hamilton County companies and vendors for renovations and supplies. In addition, the community will see indirect economic benefit through truck traffic and local pine straw producers being utilized.

Swift Straw’s corporate strategy focuses on consistency in service and product, but is more importantly relationship driven.

Swift Straw’s Jasper positions include warehouse positions, forklift and tractor driver, equipment/machines position and administrative assistant. A valid driver license is required and all applicants are required to pass a drug test.
